@qwasert, my highest paid article was entitled 5 Things That Dads With Daughters Should Be Able To Do.
The following are the reasons why this post was so successful
- I was connected to the article. The topic is important to me.
- Other people connected with the article. I communicated how I was truly feeling and others appreciated that.
- @shenanigator submitted this article to @curie and it was accepted. The content of the article never changed, but it would not have been successful without the support of another Steemit community member who took the time to read my article and pass it along.
I have never been close to having an article earn that much, but I still write because I want to share my life, knowledge and experiences with others.

My wife showed me your article, I think it was the same day you wrote it. I really enjoyed it! I think you did well with it because you have a personal connection to it. Way to go. I had one article that was quite successful because It was a true account of a life experience. We learn very much from our own life experiences, so much so, that it becomes invaluable! I am a follower of you now, sorry I didn't follow you sooner.
@qwasert, if I am not mistaken, your wife just joined Steemit around that time. She upvoted the article before it went trending.
