I had a fun thing happen last night or, more accurately, I set up a fun thing last night that happened at a hockey game in Colorado while I was watching said game at home in Oregon.

I have a good friend, well best friend, that lives in the Denver area. I've known him for more than 25 years and, as you might imagine, we have been through a lot together. His name is Fran and one thing about him is he is a hockey NUT! In addition to going to his local games, he has been to EVERY NHL ARENA to see a game. In fact, for his honeymoon in March he and his wife went to 7 games in 9 nights in Canada. Let me repeat, they went to 7 games in 9 nights, one in each of the 7 Canadian cities that has a team.

OK, back to the present. The new hockey season started Wednesday and, being the hockey fan that I am, I was talking about it in discord last week when @davedickeyyall (who, like Fran, lives in Colorado) posted a screenshot of the tickets he just bought to the opening night Colorado Avalanche hockey game. He said it would be his first game. Awesome, live hockey is so great!

I kind of forgot about that but then yesterday morning I was thinking about the games of the night and I remembered it was the Avalanche's opening night and Dave was going so I texted my buddy Fran to see if he had tickets too. I had an idea brewing that maybe Fran could deliver a beer to Dave at the game, from me.

I thought it would be fun to post my text convo with Fran asking him if he would consider doing this so here it is. I hope it makes sense. In the screenshots, I'm on the right and my buddy is on the left. ENJOY!!
