I can relate. I believe anger is my strongest motivator. It gives strength in the time of need.
I normally hate "bantz" with people I don't know. If a guy said what the guy in the gym said I would probably ignore him or stare him down. I don't have time to pretend I enjoy shitty jokes.
Keep striving, even if you fail you will have done more than 99,9% who do not even dare to think about leaving the beaten track!

People think it's funny to neg each other in the gym and talk shit to each other, that's cool for them if they think its funny but like you said, It's stupid to pretend like you think that shit is funny.
