17 “AFTER I [Paul] returned to Jerusalem, I was praying in the Temple and fell into a trance.
18 I SAW A VISION OF JESUS SAYING TO ME, ‘HURR! LEAVE JERUSALEM, FOR THE PEOPLE HERE WON'T ACCEPT YOUR TESTIMONY ABOUT ME [Jesus].’
19 “ ‘But Lord,’ I argued . . . . "
21 “BUT THE LORD SAID TO ME, ‘GO, FOR I WILL SEND YOU FAR AWAY TO THE GENTILES!’ ”
Acts 22:17–19,21 (NLT)

• God raised different ministers for different purposes. God raised some to feed the Body of Christ; Some to recruit workers and raise them as leaders who will work or serve in His Vineyard:
a. Some to heal the body;
b. Some to nurture the Body, these are the Pastors of local churches;
c. And some to give directions to the Body.

  • You must know your assignment in the Body of Christ. Thus, do not covet another person's assignment. Endeavour to stay in your line of calling. And stay with whatever you are assigned to do.
  • Through your assignment you might not seem to be getting your material needs met at the onset—through what you are doing; stay and stick to it anyway.
  • The primary motivation of whoever is called to serve in the ministry, God's vineyard, should not be about to make money. Gain or rewards should not be the driving force in the work of ministry:
2 A BISHOP [an overseer, a pastor, or an elder] THEN MUST BE BLAMELESS . . . NOT GREEDY FOR MONEY, BUT GENTLE, NOT QUARRELSOME, NOT COVETOUS" (1 Timothy 3:2,3 NKJV).
  • That said, If you stay in your line of calling, you will prosper materially, financially, and spiritually, If you are faithful with whatever you are called to do; because God rewards faithfulness. He is a rewarder and not a user!

• Note: there are some who move from their line of calling to another assignment, or line of calling, through which they do believe more money can be gotten:
14 HAVING eyes full of adultery and that cannot cease from sin, enticing unstable souls. THEY HAVE A HEART TRAINED IN COVETOUS PRACTICES, AND ARE ACCURSED CHILDREN. 15 THEY HAVE FORSAKEN THE RIGHT WAY AND GONE ASTRAY, FOLLOWING THE WAY OF BALAAM THE SON OF BEOR, WHO LOVED THE WAGES OF UNRIGHTEOUSNESS" (2 Peter 2:14,15 NKJV).
READ: Philippians 3:17-19

  • They also want to believe that they would be famous in the new assignment which they had chosen, rather than staying with what God has actually called them to do.
  • It is only God who knows the purpose of creating you and why you are sent to the planet Earth. Thus, If you did go against God's plan for your life, you might not amount to anything.

• Are you called to pastor a church? I want to encourage you to stay put.

  • Are you called to win souls, harvest souls for the Kingdom of God? I would advice you to be diligent and faithful in the doing of it.
  • May be yours is to feed, stabilize, and strengthen the Body of Christ, then, be consistent in doing it.
  • While yours might be to equip the saints, for the work of ministry, that is, to raise workers and leaders for the Body of Christ; I want to enjoin you to do it with all your heart.
  • The Anointing of God rests on every individual believer, each minister, who knows the main area of God's calling for their lives and stay put in It!
  • If you did not know your core area, and your point of emphasis, you may not amount to much.
  • God's blessing rests on who knows his or her areas of operation. Someone who is a Jack of all trades is a master of none; a person who is somewhat skilled in or adept at a wide variety of tasks or abilities will not have the time or dedication to become truly masterful in any one thing. Such a believer would always not receive God's approval and blessings:
7 INSTEAD, THEY SAW THAT GOD HAD GIVEN ME THE RESPONSIBILITY OF PREACHING THE GOSPEL TO THE GENTILES, JUST AS HE HAD GIVEN PETER THE RESPONSIBILITY OF PREACHING TO THE JEWS. 8 FOR THE SAME GOD WHO WORKED THROUGH PETER AS THE APOSTLE TO THE JEWS ALSO WORKED THROUGH ME AS THE APOSTLE TO THE GENTILES" (Galatians 2:7,8 NLT).

• Admonition.

  • Strive to know your area of calling. And stay put until you make a mark in It. Concentration produces consecration, says someone!
  • Whatever you desire to get or have, all would be gotten through your faithfulness in your area of calling.
  • Eyeing another person's field or assignment would not be of help and rewarding, God only rewards based on your faithfulness to whatever He assigned a person to do.

• You will not fail in Jesus' name.

  • If you are having any ailment in your body As you read this piece, receive your healing now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
  • Whatever is not of God in your body, such is rebuked and completely uprooted in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
    Peace!

STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. Ask that He will write your name in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).

  • If you took the steps As highlighted above, It means you are saved—born-again. Join a Word based church in your area and Town or city, and be part of whatever they are doing there. Peace!
