블빙블링 젬스톤 Bling Bling Gemstone

in #boardgame7 years ago

A quick and easy game to not only learn, but play, Bling Bling Gemstone follows the trend of Korea Board Games to produce quality games that can be easily understood by children and played with the family.

The components are all plastic and fit nicely into the box. I store my gems in a zip lock bag so the gems don't shift around. In addition, it's kind of funny swinging around a plastic pickax.

This game is a pure dexterity game with a little luck involved as players take a plastic pick ax and hit a tower for White, Pink, and Red gems of different values (1, 2, 3) while maintaining the structure of the tower itself.

Each player is given 3 swings with the pickax to knock off gems and collect points. But! if one of the bases falls off then that is collected by the player and is worth -10 points.

After 3 hits the pickax is passed to the next player and play continues until all the gems have fallen off.

The Verdict:

Super quick and easy to set up, games can last as little as one turn when unaware of ones "muscular fortitude" this game typically ends up being played more then one time when brought out in my gaming group.

Very lite and easy to play, this game does just what it sets out to do. Although it's hard to find outside of Korea, Mayday Games has it listed for $37.50, an almost identical game Toc Toc Woodman also by Justin Oh is available on Amazon.com for $19.20. The major difference between the two, is the variations of points:

Bark = 1 point
Base = -5 points

It still plays the same for almost half the price and both are perfect games for families.
