A Flying Jatt - Bollywood Movie Review

in #bollywood8 years ago (edited)

I went to watch 'A Flying Jatt' hoping it to be another Bollywood Super Hero Film in the standards of Krrish 3. I was sort of hoping that this film will be the first Bollywood 100 Crore Club Movie for Tiger Shroff. But after watching the movie, I am sure that it will be no where near that. However, with the Film's Producer Ekta Kapoor making the entire TV Industry promote the Movie for free with 'Beat Pe Booty' dance moves, the movie may turn out to be an above average grosser earning around 75 Crores at the Box Office .

Tiger Shroff as the Flying Jatt has done a decent job in action and dance sequences. However, he needs to work on his acting skills. Jacqueline Fernandez who plays the female lead opposite Tiger doesn’t have much to do in the film. The pair also lacks the chemistry. Amrita Singh who plays Tiger's alcohol addict mother and Gaurav Pandey who plays the role of Tiger's Brother Aman has done a good job. Nathan Jones failed to impress as the antagonist Raaka. Even Kay Kay Menon who plays the role of the evil industrialist Mr. Malhotra has given better performances as antagonist in many movies.
Remo D'Souza is better off as a Dancer- Choreographer than a Story Writer and Director. He has copied heavily from many of the popular Hollywood flicks. I don't know about you, but most of the scenes in the film made no sense to me. The VFX of the Film too is nothing to brag about. In fact some of the scenes look downright amateurish and tacky. This Film promotes Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Mission) and also have tried to cash in on the sentiments of the Sikh Community. The Kids may find the film appealing, but if you ask me 'Shaktimaan' is way better as a Super Hero character than the Flying Jatt.
My Rating : ★★ (Out of ★★★★★)
