Ami, the child of the stars

Here I bring you another book to recommend, it is completely different from the last one I mentioned. The last time I wrote I recommended a book not suitable for minors whose narration describes atrocious and bloodthirsty acts, this on the contrary, is a book dedicated to children. Although the children were not the main audience that our writer wanted to catch, both the narrative of the book and the main image of it attracted the eyes of the little ones in the house. Ami is a series of science fiction novels written by Chilean author Enrique Barrios. It tells the story of Pedro, a nine-year-old boy (thirteen in the most recent editions), who, one summer night, while on vacation on the coast, is visited by an alien named Ami. Throughout the trilogy, the trips made by Pedro and Ami to various planets in the galaxy are related. At the end of each trip, Pedro's mission is to write a book that tells his adventures and the knowledge he acquired thanks to the teachings of Ami. The trilogy is composed of the novels Ami, the child of the stars, Ami returns and Ami 3: Internal civilizations. Following the success of Ami, the boy of the stars, Enrique Barrios decided to write the book Ami and Perlita, whose story is alien to that of the trilogy and is intended for children.

Gabriela, why do you recommend a children's book? I love this book in particular because it shares my beliefs and ideals, that if I had read this book when I was little I would have been like my bible, fortunately I got it when I was older and I could understand it in its entirety. The curious thing about this reading is that despite being vague and fantastic (as every book for children should be) there are certain elements that could be described as "scientific" that spoken from a child's point of view can be taken as fanciful, but as adults we can understand the veracity of the diction of this writer. My friend Andreina says that she is "metaphysical for children", so she describes this small project, where she indicates that the writings want her way of seeing the world from a somewhat innocent view.

What vision is this? I love this book because they explain elements and daily values ​​in a unique way, such as the vision of the earthling about God, who say he is a supreme and fantastic being, children and some adults usually identify him as a bearded man and blue-eyed dressed in robes, but this extraterrestrial "Ami" explains to our protagonist that it is nothing more than a powerful energy in which the entire universe is governed and that energy is love. This is just a small example of the many curious things that this book of "metaphysics for children" has if you like fantasy and science fiction in addition to the morals and reflections, I recommend this little book that is also very easy to read Because it is short.
