I'm closing in on finishing up the book How to Eat, Move, and Be Healthy by Paul Chek for the second time around. It's important for me to spread knowledge about books I feel have the potential to have a positive impact on people's lives, so here is my honest review of the book if you are thinking about giving it a read.

If you are unfamiliar with the holistic approach to health, as opposed to the traditional western approach, this book does a great job of introducing you to holistic or functional medicine. The book starts out with a fun way of explaining the concept.

I highly appreciated the interactive approach that Chek took in writing this book. The book contains questionnaires designed for you to identify your specific metabolic type so you can identify what types of foods you should be eating. There are three general metabolic types: Carb, Protein, or Mixed.

The remaining questionnaires allow you to identify areas in your lifestyle where you may need to place more attention . These areas include what you eat, when you eat, sleep, stress, and parasite imbalances.

Once you've identified your problem areas, the rest of the book is designed to educate you about how you can take a natural approach to living a healthy lifestyle regarding all the above areas. The book is backed by ample credible studies and sources, and Paul has really done his research on these subjects.

Conclusion

If you are looking for an interactive approach as to how to apply a natural or holistic approach to your lifestyle, this book is a great starting point for you and I highly recommend it ;)

No matter how well-versed you are in the holistic approach, this book is a MUST to have on your book shelf.
