But so many people wage wars in God's name
"Mitch," the Reb said, "God does not want such killing to go on"
Then why hasn't it stopped?
He lifted his eyebrows.
"Because man does"

[Have a Little Faith is a book about a life's purpose; about losing belief and finding it again; about the divine spark inside us all. It is one man's journey, but it is everyone's story.]

I always have high expectations for Mitch Albom's books, and for this one in particular.
So as I read the first few pages, I was a bit skeptical, but was proven wrong when I started the next chapter.

This book teaches us about being tolerant yet stay true to our own principles.
About our relations with God, how often we deny His chances.
This book doesn't preach us or tell us which religion is superior compared to the other.
Instead it reminds us that we are all one, we are all God's creation.
And it also reminds me of the one phrase that I have always believed, which would also cause me to be labelled as 'liberal' by some: all religions are good, humans are not

If people were more open minded and willing to accept differences, perhaps we can all live in peace.
(And it's not limited to religious context, it is also relevant to wider aspects of life)
It is heartwarming however, to think that these kinds of people do exist.
I believe that not only hatred, but kindness can also be very contagious.

"Look. I know what I believe. It's in my soul. But I constantly tell our people: you should be convinced of the authenticity of what you have, but you must also be humble enough to say that we don't know everything. And since we don't know everything, we must accept that another person may believe something else

not only about open mindedness, people are often so aggressive selectively hearing the things that makes them think they have the right to "fight back" about something, claiming to be heroes when actually they are villains

well when people are too attached to their opinion, they will only hear what they want to hear and be reactive to things they dont want to hear
