Conor McGregor TKO?! Bad call?

Look i saw the fight and no not on facebook live or some other shitty stream, I also admit Mayweather is a pro at what he does, but come on now Conor still had life in him and for the amount of money on the table they the Ref should allowed nature to take its course. I believe they called it because the points were so close and had Conor got a second wind, well he might have Mayweather on the points side.

Conor is a strong humble human being at that though, he knows he could have kept going but is happy for the chance and the payout. This is clearly not the last of him and I am positive he will bounce back stronger than ever in whatever match he finds himself in.

The referee did the right thing. McGregor was in too deep by the 10th round. He was a punching-bag at that point - just standing there with his arms down by his sides. He was no longer defending himself. Letting it ride out would only have put him at risk of more brain-damage. And, I don't think the points were that close - Mayweather had a definite edge, and that edge was only going to get bigger if the fight went on.

Don't get me wrong - I honestly would love to have seen McGregor win this fight, and wipe that stupid, smug smile off of Mayweathers' face, for once. It was a good fight. The outcome was actually predictable - because it went into the late rounds. McGregor would have had to catch him in the first few rounds with a real haymaker to win - or Floyd would have had to not show up, show his age - and that just didn't happen tonight. No way was McGregor ever going to be able to seriously school somebody as good as Mayweather in the boxing ring, when it comes to a true boxing match. In the MMA ring, it would have been an absolute slaughter, with opposite results - but this isn't the MMA - it's boxing. Honestly, I thought McGregor made a good showing - proved he is one of the top fighters in the world. He was just out of his element.

I really think they should have let this thing ride out. It just feels unfinished. Part of me feels like they did this to set up a rematch considering how much they made on this one. It just wasn't a decisive enough victory to truly close the books on this one in my opinion.

Im in the same boat, yet I keep getting laughed at. Most people act like Mayweather just destroyed him or that he didnt have moments of fatigue. I hope they do bring this one back and give Conor the chance he deserves. They are both very skilled fighters and with that should have been able to go all the way to the end with the rounds, thats what people paid for anyways.
