As such, it requires a dedicated team of experienced full-time developers, legal, financial, and regulatory advisors, marketing professionals, designers, and strategic partners to bring our vision to life.

Meet the Brickblock team:

Jakob Drzazga
Jakob co-heads the Brickblock team and brings with him an extensive background as both an entrepreneur and real estate investor. Before co-founding Brickblock, Jakob spent five years as a private real estate developer for residential and commercial properties, where he coordinated the planning, transacting, building, and selling of cultural monuments, boutique hotels, social housing, and cultural venues. Jakob holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering & Business from the Technische Universität Berlin. He is a firm believer in the disruptive power of blockchain technology and its ability to revolutionize the way transactions are made.

Martin Mischke
Martin has been involved in the blockchain space since 2010, playing an active role in the first movement of Bitcoin supporters in Berlin, Germany. Martin’s expertise is primarily focused on VC funding and blockchain consulting. His resume includes investing in and co-founding several successful blockchain startups. The most prominent one is Bitwala, the biggest blockchain-based payment service provider for remittance and international payments in Europe, where he eventually held positions as CEO and CFO. He also co-founded Bits&Coins Consulting Group, processing real estate transactions through Bitcoin payments. Additionally, he co-founded the incubators Bitcoins Berlin and Run.Ventures, as well as the Berlin-based blockchain co-working space Transistor.

Directors

Jeff Woodward
Jeff ’s career in real estate has spanned 25 years, during which he has secured investments totalling more than $900 million USD. He has overseen million-dollar stock and billion-dollar real estate transactions and boasts extensive experience in trading on behalf of leading financial institutions.

Most recently, he was the CEO of Woodley Property Limited, where he secured finance for and delivered three outstanding properties in Kent, Central London, and Cornwall. His role before that, as the COO of Larkfield Group Ltd., saw him identify international real estate opportunities in disruptive technologies, the waste-to-energy sector, infrastructure-led regeneration and alternative energy projects, and the sustainable green energy sector. He has also worked as a financial trader, broker, and director.

His expertise and extensive network is integral to growing Brickblock’s portfolio of projects.

Wayne Almeida
Wayne is a law graduate, having studied law at the University of Kent, and is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.

Wayne joined Brickblock as the company’s director in Gibraltar, where we established our headquarters in 2017. Wayne brings nine years of experience managing companies, trusts, and foundations.

Dr. Wolfgang Richter
Business and Finance Lawyer

An executive partner at multinational law firm DWF, Dr. Wolfgang brings a unique blend of legal, financial, and blockchain-related expertise to Brickblock. He boasts over 20 years experience working as a banking and finance lawyer, primarily as an advisor on M&A deals in the financial sector, real estate finance, securitizations, and non-performing loan deals, as well as equity and debt structuring. Dr. Wolfgang is now focused on applying his knowledge in shaping legal frameworks in the fintech and blockchain space.
Axel von Goldbeck

Real Estate Lawyer

Axel is a German lawyer and partner at the international law firm DWF with deep knowledge of the regulatory framework of the real estate industry. From 2008 to 2014 he worked as the managing director of the German Property Association (Zentraler Immobilien Ausschuss), representing major German real estate fund managers. He will support Brickblock as the company secures regulatory approvals.
Holger Schlünzen
ETF Expert

Holger is an ETF (exchange-traded fund) expert from Crossflow Financial Advisers GmbH, a brokerage firm specialized in ETF trading. In this role he selects and trades ETFs for institutional clients and pension funds. As an advisor, he brings his specialized insight of the international ETF market to Brickblock.
Alexander Kölpin
Investment Advisor

Alexander Kölpin is Managing Director of the tech-oriented seed venture capital firm WestTech Ventures. He co-founded and was a Board Member of the seed VC firm German Startups Group, as well as a divisional director at Berlin Partner. Prior to this, he was a management consultant at inubit AG (now Bosch Software Innovations) and Arthur Andersen. Having invested in over 30 companies, he will support Brickblock in deal structuring and fundraising.

Ingo Weiss
Real Estate Fund Advisor

Ingo Weiss is the co-founder and managing partner at Weiss & Cie. Group. His core competencies lie in the areas of real estate, real estate investment, sustainability, and project management, in which he has more than 15 years of experience. He counts many national, international, and corporate investors as his clients.

Tom Kelly
Marketing Advisor

Tom is an award-winning ad-tech veteran with more than 12 years of experience at market-leading companies. Most recently, Tom served as VP of US Platform Sales for Oath, a Verizon company, where he managed approximately $1 billion in revenue annually across numerous product lines and sales channels.
Mati Fornes
Frontend Engineer

Mati is working on Brickblock’s front end development. Passionate about latest and greatest tech, he has hands-on experience developing customer-focused app experiences for many leading startups in Berlin.

Vjatscheslav Kondratjev
Blockchain Developer

Vjatscheslav is leading the development of the Brickblock exchange. He is a technical cybernetics and software engineer with extensive experience as a co- founder, CTO, and tech lead for various projects. These include the creation of SEA bid management, credit card payment, and automatic cryptocurrency trading systems.

Volkan Bilici
Blockchain Developer

Volkan is a web technologies veteran focused primarily on javascript and frontend. He has worked as the team leader on an awarded interactive digital campaign and implemented the web client for a leading online betting and casino company. Volkan is quick to adopt cutting-edge technologies and believes the blockchain will positively change the future by removing boundaries between people.

Moritz Hoffmann
Master thesis student

Moritz is about to finish his Master’s degree in Cloud Computing and Services at the University of Rennes 1 and Aalto University. With a strong interest in crypto and previous internships at IBM, Daimler, and Amazon, he is eager to dive into the Berlin startup scene and support Brickblock while writing his thesis about decentralized exchanges. When not lost in the blockchain bubble, he is getting lost with his backpack around the world.
