North Stradbroke Island, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia
Just spent a weekend on the island for a family get-together and loved it, so thought I would share some pics to add to some already great Steemit info.
On our first short walk around to orientate ourselves we saw kangaroos and a koala right in the village.
Later we did the famous Gorge Walk, both in the pouring rain, and in hot sunshine. Both amazing!
We spent another day walking to Amity Point along the beach, getting picked up with an hour or so to go.
On our last day we drove over the dunes to a lookout point, through eucalypt forest and shorter banksia shrub-land. This track required a four-wheel drive and we deflated the tyres to ensure we had traction for the bumpy journey.
Then we went to the beautiful Blue Lake.

There are plenty of holiday lets in the three townships of Dunwich (the ferry terminal), Amity Point and Point Lookout .
