The wiccan religion is actually a modern version of witchcraft and not born of it. A witch is traditionaly know as a wise women, one knowing the lore of herbs and life so were the first midwifes.
Wicca is known as the old religion practiced by the peasants may from there not come witchcraft but in essence is pure witchcraft
The Wiccan belief is the re introduction of the old pre christian religions based on the lost druid religions of northern europe.
