I wrote about bullying in the past in different blogging platforms and told myself not to write about it again after a commenter said bullying post is overrated. However, such comment is a sort of bullying as well for undermining this issue.

Bullying is everywhere. It may be in school, workplace, public places, online, or even at home. Unfortunately, bullying has long term effects towards the victims.

According to Ditch the Label, victims of bullying are likely to become bullies as well.

It shows that one of the effects of bullying is for the victims are likely to victimized other people too. Because of the insecurities which built up after bullying, they tend to dominate others through bullying them.

Bullying can likely start at home

Bullying might start at home which affects the mentality of a person. An article on HuffPost states the truth about possibility of bullying at home. This is so true. It may be your brother, a sister, a relative or even your parents. Such a sad reality that the ones who's re supposed to show affection and avoid victimization of a family member starts in their circle.

Kids are more prone to bullying

Children in schools are very prone to bullying. Is it natural? Some may think it is, but it isn't! I witness too often when kids are walking on their way home, other kids are bullying a certain kid about his look. They are name-calling him with derogatory labels. I rebuked those kids for doing such, and they just run away. It might not happen in schools because it happens out of their premises. Yet, it is something that they should also inculcate to the students about prevention of bullying.

Bullying can happen everywhere

Of course, bullying happens everywhere. It is easy to spot bullying if you are observant, as oftentimes, bullying was included in jokes. It might be in public places, or workplaces, it is rampant.

Effects on mental health

Bullying has huge effects on one's mental health. Depression is the most common effect, which might lead to suicide. Some people who are often bullied over their weight or sizeis likely to fall for eating disorders. Lots of effects actually, that's why there is a need to address this issue.

Parents, watch over your kids

Of course, charity starts at home, thus, parents should look after the needs of their kids not only for financial aspect, rather, emotional, mental and spiritual health. It includes looking after their welfare. It includes observing their kids and talking to them how are they doing in their school. Ask them if the behavior of their child changes to negative. This is to prevent bullying. Parents should also teach their child not to bully other people as well. Of course, it should start at home by showing good example to their kids.

Indeed. I also wrote a short story like this before. The character was bullied then he became like them too, to feel strong and superior. I focused on his past relationships with his family and the people around him.

Good post Sir @iyanpol12, very informative.

This is very true. I knew someone that was bullied before and now he became a bully.

Bullying results to more bullies, sadly
