There are many different ways that people can monetise their niche site in order to create a revenue stream from their website. Some things they should remember is that whichever method they use, it should be something that is suited to the topic of their niche website. Afterall, you wouldn’t sell a dog training book on a website dedicated to gaming chairs.
With that in mind, What are popular ways to monetise a website?

1) Google Adsense

Google AdSense is Google’s advertising platform. By signing up to Google AdSense you can place adverts on your niche website that are related to the content of your site. When a visitor to your site clicks on the advert and visits the site being advertised you will received anywhere from a few cents to a few dollars depending on the type of advert.

2) Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is promoting someone else’s product online and receiving a commission on a sale. Typically, you can have an advert placed on your website and when a visitor clicks on the advert and buys a product you will receive a percentage of the sale. Common percentages are 25%, 50% and 75% however you can find products that pay out 100% commissions.
If you have an email marketing list (I will write more about email marketing in another post) you can also email your subscribers a product and you will make money on any sales they make.

3) Amazon Associates

Amazon Associates is Amazon’s affiliate program. I have included it because it is an easy affiliate marketing platform to sign up to. However, it isn’t available in certain US states. Depending on how much you sell you can make 4%, 6% and 8% on items sold. The good thing about Amazon Associates is that visitors you click on your Amazon links might not even buy the product you are promoting. You will make sales on items that are much higher than the products you are promoting and as a result you will make more money.

4) Selling eBooks

Creating and selling eBooks is a great way for your to make money from your niche website. By identifying common problems people in your niche have and offering solutions to them in the form of an eBook and selling it to them you will be able to make a nice income from your niche website.

5) Selling Advertising Space

You can also sell advertising space on your website. Other websites and companies might be willing to pay you to put their on your website. The amount of money you get depends on where the advert is place, how long the advert is on your website as well as how many visitors you get on your website.
