There does seem to be some crossover. I only had time to scan, but it looks like an interesting idea. I'll read it more carefully later. Along the same lines, someone also set this up.

I think that formation of self-funding groups for all sorts of different purposes with information flow, feedback, and a shared decision-making process among them is becoming critical for making the community more effective and satisfying. I suppose that the steemit "communities" feature may help when it's released, but it's more than just a technology problem.

Another funding model that I proposed here is the monthly membership model. (The @crowdfundedwhale and @steemprentice voters operate by membership, but they have one-time membership fees. @steemvoter has recurring fees for premium service. But none of those are really a "group" in the sense I'm thinking of.)

I'm starting to wonder if hybrid structures are possible. i.e. Group A uses holacracy, group B uses sociocracy, group C uses an ad-hoc informal process, but double-links between groups make it possible for all the different governance protocols to coexist and interoperate.

Yea I really like these ideas and I think they are inherently exciting, and approach the sweet spot between stable community organisation and chaotic entrepreneurialism.

I was glad to hear that one of the things that yesterday's marketing video mentioned was a focus on decentralized decision making.
