RE: Steem token burning: Visibility As A Service

in #business2 years ago

Hi @remlaps and than you or this inside view of the Initiative of Burn Steem.

In general ther is something that I would suggest, we all know that the less Steem circulating the higher value it will be.

Why then not to automatically to set up the rewards: both curation and author to 25% to burn Steem (null)

That might require a kind of Soffolk or so that it is integrated automatically and it is not matter if such Big account like SC01 with 10 Mio or someone small with only 100 Steem of Steem Power will be automatically donating 25% (or any % depending of what will be agreed) of rewards.

In those cases many users even those who delegated to Upvu will automatically be giving their % of payout rewards to Burn Steem.

The same way, Witnesses should be set up so that their % also will be donating to burn Steem.

I think if to play this game of Burn Steem then everyone should do it independently if it is a user, the Steemit Team accounts SCXX or Witnesses, only then we will see the change.

What you suggest would be basically equivalent to changing the inflation rates. That's definitely something that could also be considered by the witnesses.

The difference, here, though is that the current implementation gives content creators a tool to raise their visibility. Different authors might want to invest different amounts for purposes of "audience building". So, I don't really think that there's a "one size fits all" number that could be applied at the blockchain level.
