Regardless of whether we are talking about business or private relationships, trust is one of the most valueable requirements of any alliance. Maybe it is THE requirement of all. 

Oh if there wasn´t that risk to be disappointed... that little risk that all of your beliefs might be abused...

Trust is a bond which takes years to build, seconds to break and forever to repair.  

The concept of trust 

The concept of trust is actually one of the very first concepts we do learn in life. Trust is what a relationship between parents and kids is made of. Trust is the beginning of everything.  

Basicly trust is an emotion. It´s the feeling that suggests us to (blindly) rely on somebody. 

There is this game we all know well: 'the trust fall'. It may seem ridiculous, but actually it is one of the best ways to easily explain and understand the concept of trust. 

It perfectly shows the key elements of trust: I fall, while I trust BLINDLY (unconditionally) in that TRUSTWORTHY person standing right behind me, EXPECTING that person to (re)act in a certain way we previously AGREED on, establishing a BOND of trust. 

The value of trust 

If trust is an emotion - how can it become that important doing business?! 

In our today´s world of business, trust is more important than ever, especially when it comes to relationships with clients, customers, employees and stakeholders.

'Without trust we don´t truly collaborate; we merely coordinate or, at best, cooperate. It is trust that transforms a group of people into a team.' Stephen M.R. Covey  

To trust is a decision, based on personal experiences. It´s the decision to be open to somebody, to establish a special bond, to create a social commitment. As every decision it includes a certain risk: the risk to be disappointed. 

Working relationships that are built on trust have a considerable competitive advantage because trust is rare. 

In a world where everybody has learned to NOT trust and double check everything, reliance has become a scarce good - both in professional and in private relationships. 

Trust is built when a partnership or relationship is based on open communication (transparency), conformity between an established value system and corresponding actions (integrity) as well as equality and solidarity (fairness). 

Trust & leadership: 

The level of trust a leader is able to achieve with his or her partners depends on the partners´ perception of the leader’s honesty, ability and integrity. Trust is a proof of competence and a seal of quality. 

Trust is even able to be the unique selling proposition of a brand or company. 

Trust is key to any longlasting partnership, because it allows us to focus exclusively on the business target. No double checks or controls are needed, no doubt and no fear will be blocking us, no paranoid suspicions impede our creativity. 

Crypto currency and trust - bringing back the value

'Trust is the beginning of everything.' That´s the unvincible idea of crypto currency. 

The trustworthiness of our financial systems has suffered a lot during the past years. I bet if you did a survey and asked people how they would describe the relationships with their banks, a poor minority would say: trustworthy. 

Trust has been exploited badly during many years, and people have become tired of it. 

The crypto currency market is a chance to rebuild trust in our economy. It´s the chance to establish new bonds, new partnerships, new businesses, based on transparency, fairness and integrety - BASED ON TRUST. 

Today I made my very first crypto deal. Some of my friends didn´t believe that crypto money was 'real money'. So I sold a small amount of steem to get a bitcoin fragment and then exchanged it into euros. On the next weekend I will invite my friends to have dinner, paying with the money I earned blogging on steemit. I cannot wait to see their faces when signing the bill! :-) 

Trust has to start someday and somewhere. Why not with us? Why not right now?
