THEY BLACKMAIL US WITH ANTI-IMPERIALISM

Hello steemians friends, yesterday talking with a friend who is usually invited to certain official spaces to hear his opinion, which frequently coincides in endorsing, explaining and even justifying the need to support the government, despite the fact that he privately does so many criticisms as one same, after a slight reasoning and even expose my concern, I chose to ask a question:

• Brother, as you well know, I value very bad government. Tactically and strategically, in my opinion, as the ministerial cabinet, Venezuela today is chaotic. We not only went through one of the worst economic crises in our history, except those derived from internal wars, but in the most everyday, such as collecting garbage, attitude towards the traffic light, lack of solidarity, etc., but we have a government whose speech is not at all coherent with his practice and also, few sectors for him feel respect. The thieves not only make theirs in the face of the police and all the forces of order, but these, to a large extent, participate in the guachafita. And what is worse, the first magistrate does not speak of concrete plans, of the specific investment in some area, which should be many, but makes general references.

During the electoral campaign nothing said that one could claim him by name and surname, but he limited himself to making abstract promises, almost like the child that at the beginning, Father, I promise that this new year that begins will bring me the best. Or, as you like so much, a bit like giving them a fortuneteller or an intermediary between God and man on earth, I have a hunch that from the day they choose me again, everything will begin to compose.

The oil wells will overflow again and the fuel will be removed without major efforts. It will rain coffee and everything that the earth is capable of producing without having to make any effort and the cattle, as in the times of the war of independence, will multiply orejano in the plains and in every farm that there is by there. And being that way we will have meat.

Of the fish he does not speak, because among the Chinese who take a good part of the fishing and the high cost of many of the elements used by the fishermen, they take care that this food, despite its abundance in the national territory, without intervene his mediation with God, every day becomes more expensive.
And I will not continue talking about so many things such as exchange rate policy, excessive inhibitions, delayed reactions, the lack of integrity to confront sectors of the economy that do what they please, excessive corruption, because you know that more than me.

But……….
Why do you defend this government so much?
He kept thinking, I knew he was organizing his response, since he could not contradict what I said because it is largely what he says.

• He is a friend, that one must always overcome the fundamental contradiction and it is reflected between the government, its behavior and imperialism.
  He said nothing more.

It is the same answer that so many talented people, studied that one reads and even knows, gives before such a question that, in many cases no one in a concrete way formulates them, but they believe themselves forced to give.
What is this anti-imperialist policy, which should not remain in the speech, but be translated into welfare for Venezuelans, because of these we speak? What welfare, if we put ourselves to make comparisons, do you find in the current situation regarding the past?

This time, my friend returned to concentrate a time to organize his response.
-Other government would choose to negotiate with the IMF and that would mean the liberation of prices, rebates or freezing of salaries and pensions, an increase in the rates of public services and even privatization of them. He said that and added other things.

I said: You speak of another government. Why do not we start better because people like you and others who would make a long list, call on this government to make the political and economic changes that the situation dictates? Is it enough to give advice, make recommendations? It is true that the volume has been increasing but that is not enough. That attitude of many of you, justified in the presumed anti-imperialism of the government, uses it to continue in the same.

But we can still see the things you said differently. Is not an anti-imperialist policy expressed in concrete facts such as ceasing to be buyers of what the empire produces or what is the same in our case, substantially reducing our propensity to import? Or is it only to speak against a certain international capital and the politicians who serve it, while we beg to let us continue in the same way as before? Will rentism, in itself, free us from imperialism?
