BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia has ordered to issue production warrant (PW) to appear in the Nike Corruption case from prison.
Judge Mahmudul Kabir, the Special Judge's Court-9 Judge, placed the order on Monday (September 3th) in Dhaka's Bakshibazar's Alia Madrasa field. At the same time, on 11 October, Khaleda set the date for hearing in the presence of Zia.
Khaleda Zia's lawyer Sanaullah Mia told the information about the Bengali Tribune.
On December 9, 2007, the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) filed the case against Tejgaon Police Station against Khaleda Zia during the caretaker government. Later, on 5 May 2008, the ACC filed a chargesheet against 11 people including Khaleda Zia in the case.
In the case, the accused accused the state of about 13777 crore taka of the state by giving up the power of abusing power and giving up the three gas fields in Canada. The High Court suspended the proceedings of the case on 9 July of that year and challenged the validity of the case.
