Haven't seen you since April (A poem)
Haven't seen you since April
Haven't seen you since April
And it bothers me to ask why
When I walked slowly away
Left you standing by.
We thought we had it all,
Basking on the Boulevards of Eutopia.
But affection grew so small,
And inhumed all the Euphoria
It's almost December,
And those memories still cling
I still sit under the mistletoe and wonder.
The same spot where we used to laugh and sing.
Haven't seen you since April
And I won't belabour the prospect
For after all said and done,
Time would force us all to forget.
