SENTANCED TO GLORY
Text: “And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them: that they may be one as we are one John 17:22
I’m sure you have heard the phrase sentenced to death before or “sentenced to life imprisonment. This is a term used in the court to describe the judgement over an offender.
It’s usually a final pronouncement over the life of an individual. It has been decided and concluded. It comes with a tone of finality.
Every believer too has been *“sentenced.”It has been decided and concluded by the judge of the whole earth what the experiences of a believer must be.
We have been ‘sentenced to glory It has been decided and concluded that we must have the glory of God revealed, expressed and manifested in our lives.
Jesus was very clear about this. The exact glory that the father had given him he gave to us. He did not depart with it. We should therefore have nothing different from him. The scripture tells us that Jesus received honour and glory from the father. But before he departed he gave it to us (2 Peter 1:17).
Christianity is much more than going to Church and joining a group. It is the manifestation of the glory of God in humanity. Anything short of that is mere religion with no power. Therefore we need the glory of God in our life that we may be part of he .
Christ in us is the hope of glory; glory is domiciled in our recreated human spirit. We are called to walk in and manifest the glory of God on the earth. The same way Jesus came to the earth to express God and manifest his glory. 2 Peter 1:3 declares “...Hath called us to glory and virtue.” This is our calling. We are sentenced to it. We don’t have a choice than to manifest the glory of God. From today everywhere you go carry the glory of God there. Everyone that sees you will see the glory of God on your life. Where shame is waiting the glory of God will take over. No mortal man can put you to shame; you already carry the glory of God.
My life is an expression of the glory of God. The glory of God is my identity. The glory of God is my covering. Remain blessed in Jesus name.
