HOW TO DIFFERENTIATE IF YOU ARE SAD OR DEPRESSED
Sometimes, due to the different circumstances in our life, we go through moments where we feel a sense of sadness, melancholy, anguish, that surround us and in many cases make our daily development difficult.
The loss of a loved one, a sentimental disappointment or a professional failure, can be triggers for this situation, even so, it is normal that we feel sad eventually.
In life, at some point, we have experienced this sensation. Sadness is a natural reaction of our body to some painful event, however, when this feeling goes beyond sadness, we would be talking about a depression, which is an extreme situation.
It is important that you learn to differentiate if this sensation is depression, because if it were in this way, we would already be talking about a disease, which requires clinical treatment to get ahead.
When a person is sad, he can easily identify the reason for that sadness, understanding that when time passes, progressively, these painful feelings will cease. However, a depressed person can not do it, even, these feelings will increase with time, being difficult to be solved.
Depression lasts for weeks, months, years, and it does not have a solution as fast as you would like, for people it is not possible, being overwhelming sensations, of hopelessness, without seeing a light on the road. With depression, the person does not find any sense in their life, there is no motivation, there is a loss of interest in their daily activities, to look for a job, to have a new relationship, for a depressed person, nothing makes sense.

If you have feelings of constant tiredness or on the contrary, it is difficult to sleep.
You do not feel motivation or interest in carrying out your daily activities, not knowing other people, or getting close to your loved ones.
You constantly think about death or ending your life.
You do not feel valuable, you have a lack of self-esteem.
Constant feelings of guilt.
Losses or constant weight increases.
You do not have clear objectives, you do not know where your life is going.
If you consider that you are going through any of these situations, do not waste time, ask for professional help because it will allow you to overcome this situation.
