RE: My friends are talking crypto again. Does that mean we will see a rise? I find it probable.

I've been all about this platform since 2016. For most of my time here I've had about 12,000 steem.

I ran the food trail what's used to curate various food-based posts.

I ran steem fiction which was the book group that I put together featuring several of the best fiction writers on steem. We put out a couple of books on amazon.com.

I pulled out all of my steem when was $0.43. I guess I pulled out because of an argument with some other leaders in the community.

I think I don't like the way that the community of structure. We talked about decentralization but then we sent her on a few important people that are only made important by the fact that they've been able to trick others.

Despite my appearance success on steem I've never been able to fight the people that trick others.

Even now some of them are making 50 to $60 per post. Per garbage post.

And you know what? Those people are very well beloved by the community.

so I wouldn't necessarily throw my money in the steam right now. There needs to be some changes. I'm not sending it won't rise up and hit $8 again because it might. I'm not even saying that there is any other project out there that is better than steam. I don't think that there is in terms of the coin itself. However I do think there are certain toxic elements within a community they need to be dealt with that will never be dealt with similar becomes the fact that those people have a large amount of influence that can never be defeated by someone that even has a moderate amount like I used to be

but then again I'm just one guy. I could be completely wrong. If I was investing and I had a hell of a lot of money I definitely wouldn't there some of this tea cuz it has a great deal of potential.

I did my best to type that out but I have a condition which prevents me from most of the use of my fingers. Forgive my lack of eloquence.

I completely agree Steem is flawed in many ways, but I think it's the human element of greed that makes it flawed and not the technology itself.

Only time will tell if someone smarter than me can effectively write code that prevents those garbage posts from hitting $50 or $60 consistently.

I get frustrated with the amount of centralization on here as well, but I don't know code nor have the time to learn currently to change anything myself, so for the most part, I try not to complain because I see myself, in a way, as part of the problem.

While I would never tell my friends to invest in Steem, I would never tell them to invest in Bitcoin. I always tell people about Bitcoin because I think the technology will help change the future and to what degree is yet to be seen, but it's nice for people to start learning about the technology now.

Another place I think Steem holds value is it's a great way to onboard people to crypto, by allowing them to earn some for free and use it every day.

I appreciate the lengthy response and pretty much agree with everything that you have said. I am definitely not nearly as involved as I've been on the platform previously due to multiple issues, but the "hero" worship on here can be much sometimes, and all it boils down to is the Steempower in their wallet. as they are pretty toxic for the platform, but most don't see it that way.
