The one with the second update about my life

in #busy6 years ago (edited)

It's been long, I know... life without internet is hard, man (when you're used to having it everyday, that is) I'm stealing a bit of wifi to share another update about my life.

So, that would make it 2 months withouot internet. I haven't died, like I thought I would, but it is really difficult to get things done without internet. I've had to stop freelancing and have pretty much neglected a lot of social interactions that used to happen thanks to the internet.

Work life has been hectic for the past two months. I've had more gigs than ever and I've had to juggle with rehearsals, preformances, teaching, studying and having a social/family life at the same time. I still don't know how I do it.

I told you I was thinking of quitting my job, right? And so I did. It was a hard decision to make, because I was struggling with the idea of having a "safe job", besides my artistic life, as I've been doing for the past 5 years. It almost felt like living a double life, and honestly I couldn't handle it anymore. Not only because it is physically and emotionally demanding and draining, but also because I just couldn't fit everything in my timetables AND also because teaching at schools stop being a proper source of income for me.

I'll have more time on my hands now that I don't have to work on a fixed schedule , I just need a decent connection to bring you new content soon.

This is my first week just dedicating to music and theatre (plus an occasional tutoring here and there) and I'm actually writing to you from a recording studio. I'm booked for the whole day to record some vocals for a sounds library!

Changes are difficult, but it's the only way to move forward. More exciting things are coming!

Rock on!
