The building of the Aceh Tsunami Museum was designed by a famous architect named Ridwan Kamil. Before serving as mayor of bandung Kang Emil attended the design competition of the Aceh Tsunami Museum organized by the Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Agency, and Ridwan Kamil managed to defeat 153 competitors with his remarkable work.

The Aceh Tsunami Museum, located in front of Blang Padang Square, Banda Aceh, has three floors, each with a floor area of 2,500 meters and costs up to Rp60 billion more. Ridwan Kamil architectural scratches, loaded with the value of local wisdom and designed with the concept memimesis ship, such as wanting to proclaim Banda Aceh is a water city instead of the mainland. all structures and rooms contain their respective meanings and functions.
here are three rooms that I still remember.

on the other side there is a place called prayer well or commonly called the Space Of Sorrow. This room is in the form of a large circle where around the room in the row of names of victims of the tsunami disaster by meeting the room

this is the Peace Bridge, where there are many country flags from around 54 countries participating in providing assistance to Aceh after the tsunami.
the number of flags hanging on top of the building is also equal to the number of stone balls under the bridge. While on the 2nd floor there is a room that holds a video that presents a tsunami video for about 10 minutes. Beside it there is also a showroom and science room on the science of tsunamis and earthquakes.
and there is still another room that is very beautiful and has a special meaning
