Festive Seasons - What does it mean for you?

in #busy7 years ago

Few weeks ago, I was travelling to Singapore (SG) from Johor Bahru (JB), a state in Malaysia (MY). SG was once a part of Malaysia until 1965, where they left & became a country of their own due to political factors. In geographical context, they are very small. Fast forward , they are one of the leading countries in the context of economic power & development.

As I was entering SG in one of their customs checkpoint, it was a huge surprised to see the number of vehicles (motorcycles & cars) queuing up to enter the country. It was around 8 AM. It took us nearly 1 hour to get into the country. However, I was really impressed on how one would take the effort just to travel to SG to earn a living. Hence, from my discussion with my colleague, they claimed that some would work in SG for daily income, or some would work on a monthly salary basis.

There was a mix feelings when I observe & took that picture. I analyzed it in various angle & dimension of thoughts. What I felt the most, it is to be grateful & appreciate the journey of your life. We would never know what one would be going through just to earn a living. Yes, I am a firm believer that life is always your choice & what you seek is what you get. Yet, we should still not degrade others on their current situation.

Thus, what is my take on this experience?
It is to appreciate one another for this festive season. It is to be there present with the people who dedicate their life to earn a living & providing the important needs to their beloved ones. Regardless of your status, position, title & your wealth, we should use this festive season as an opportunity to appreciate the contribution of everyone in the society. We would not know the journey & their battle just to be there & in return to provide the needful for their beloved ones.

So, if you have your family & friends coming back for the holiday seasons, please take this time to forgive & forget all the tough times endured & appreciate the present moment together. Sometimes, the little things in life like having a meal together can bring a meaningful experience one would cherish in their life. What is more important, it's to welcome each & other with open arms & put our differences aside for one main purpose, it's to appreciate & cherish the present moment while it's there. That's my take on what festive season means to me.

Merry Christmas Steemit community :)

Life is all about making choices, which will in the end lead you onto the path of your own journey :) Everyone tends to make different ones leading to different outcomes and lifestyles, so like you say we are not here to judge others!

Great mind thinks alike! If you can support each & other in the journey, then it would be a blessing. Otherwise, we should wish them well & look forward to what is coming up for us ;)

Thanks @steembusiness for your opinion :)
