Another Communities Project In Alpha StagesteemCreated with Sketch.

The talk about "Communities" being introduced to the Steem ecosystem has been going on for a while.

There is the project by @shredz7 that is being implemented into the @steempeak interface. This should be completed in a rather quick period of time. Hopefully we will see it soon.

This is not the only one. We have another project that went into Alpha and is looking for people to test the system.

KURE stands for Kindred United to Reward Everyone. It is a project that was developed by @krnel. This was something that was started and stopped over the last couple years with major focus on it in the last couple months.

The basic idea is foster manual curation. By grouping people together around different topics of interest, it becomes easier for community members to find those content creators they enjoy. Also, this should make gaining a following that much easier.

Here is a video that was made a couple years ago which covers the basics of it.

As you can see, this is not integrated into an interface as much as a separate site that handles the Community groupings. It is rather simple to establish a group and add posts to it. The ability to delete posts is also part of the system. Of course, this will not remove them from the blockchain.

At this point, it is a MVP. The basics are there but, remember, this is in Alpha. A lot of the features are not included. There are also going to be errors which is the reason for seeking people to test. I read in one of the older posts that the initial focus was on curation so the authoring of posts was in the road map. I am not sure if it is included at this point yet it is in the plan. Adding pictures is also on tap.

Here is the announcement of it going Alpha.

It is good to see another option form. This is an interesting idea since it is focused upon curation more than content creation. Taking the idea of "tribes" and grouping people together is the next step in the Steem evolution. At present, content is nothing more than a streaming mess. Even one's Feed can get very messy at times.

Having the ability to target the topics one is interested in means better relationships are formed. It also allows one to find the "expertise" a lot easier. Asking questions to get feedback should be improved since the chances of it being seen by someone knowledgeable is more likely.

If anyone is interested in testing this applications out, please contact @krnel.

steemrewarding had a problem with parsing your commant (a previous command could not write into the database, which crashed the script). I fixed it now and added more checks to prevent this in the future.

I see the real problem now, you need to give rewarding posting permission, otherwise it cannot vote for you.

Oh, I thought I had 🤦

Thanks, will try again

Yay! Thanks @holger80, it's working now!
