BravoCoin: Showing The Age Of Abundance By Getting Paid For ReviewssteemCreated with Sketch.

in #busy6 years ago

Unfortunately, this looks like it is a fork of Steem and not actually on the blockchain yet it does epitomize the point I have tried to convey over the past year or so.

The Age of Abundance is upon us and we are seeing entry into a new era for humanity. Cryptocurrency is at the core of this paradigm shift.

Have you ever left a review on a website about a product or service? It could be a restaurant you ate at or a store visited. Most of us did this along with giving a rating vote based upon our experience.

Amazon is loaded with reviews along with votes. This is one of the biggest benefits of Web 2.0, the ability for consumers to provide feedback. Of course, this is something done without reward other than the joy of sharing a good experience or the thrill of blasting a company for a bad one.

Of course, ultimately, this helps a company like Amazon to sell more products while attracting more consumers. Having insight into what other people think about a product is of great benefit to a consumer. Hence it makes the platform more valuable.

Alas, like most of the Web 2.0 world, the ones providing that value are not compensated.

This is where Bravocoin enters the picture.

This is not an endorsement of the project or their token sale. I am merely using this as an example of what is taking place.

What is written here should look very familiar to those on Steem. Proof-of Brain is a concept that many seem to be adopting. Perhaps it is a project going on Steem although I do get the sense in reading through their information that it was a fork.

They do provide this video which does show a lot of what I often write about.

Web 2.0 is a world where we do work for free. Our content, whether it is a post, comment, rating, feedback, or data, all went to platforms that helped them. In return, we received nothing.

Web 3.0 is a totally different animal. BravoCoin is one that is taking something that most do for free and providing payment. Through the use of their token, individuals have incentive to provide reviews and rating votes. This is very similar to the original use of the Steem system of post, comment, and upvote.

If this project is valid, and there is little information on the website, it could really help out all who are online. This is another way for people to get compensated for what they do. I maintained that, down the road, we are going to be received 25-50 different tokens, consistently, on a monthly basis. We are going to be rewarded for all we do. Organizations are going to have to pay us instead of receiving all we do for free. This is the paradigm shift that we are starting to witness.

Like the video mentioned, why do we work for free? The answer is there was no other choice. Before blockchain and cryptocurrency, that is the boat most of us found ourselves in. We had little choice in the matter. Outside a few on YouTube who had a following, our online actions tended to completely benefit others.

I am a believer that cryptocurrency is going to end global poverty. Everyone is going to be uplifted by this technology. Just like the Internet made information, music, and communications abundant, it is now time to see the same thing happen to money.

As an aside, State of the DApps has this project listed on Steem.

Either way, it is good to see projects arising that are going to help reward people. As for Steem, the fact that people are forking the blockchain shows how valuable a system it is. They say imitation is the grandest form of flattery.

In the blockchain world, garbage chains do not get repeatedly forked.

I would love to get feedback from anyone who used the application or has some knowledge about the project.

I would definitely use this if it was on Steem. Love the idea!

I talked to these guys in Vegas at World Crypto Con last year; neat project. It was interesting hearing about the challenges of forking Steem.

Care to relate some of the challenges they faced when forking Steem?

The fork is probably due to SMTs not being ready but in theory it could have been easily with SMTs. I wonder if this could still happen on Steem considering the community aspect acheived here.

What happens over the next month will be very telling. Forks might not make a lot of sense in the next few months if all goes as planned.

Why separate oneself on an island if there is no need.

Sure would be nice if they gave us some free coin for being stakeholders already. Seems like Bitcoin is the only coin that actually gives you free coins when it forks.

@sames has said it. bitcoin forks gets to claim "free coin" because it forks from bitcoin blockchain at specific block number so the balances from bitcoin chain carries on to the new chain. However if the fork is starting a brand new chain from bitcoin's code there would be no "free coins"

You just planted 0.10 tree(s)!

BEOS is dropping coins on Bitshares holders who stake with them.

Outside of that, there are few DPOS forks that do that.

Those are chain split forks. They fork from the Bitcoin blockchain directly at a specific block number. This gives the holder at the block number claimable coins. "free coins"

Litecoin,Dash and many others are code forks. They fork the codebase of the chain ie Bitcoin.

Chain split forks are either due to politics(Bcash) or a way to airdrop coins in a decentralized way(bootstrapping holders)

Highly rEsteemed!

Imagine if Steem had utilized this concept as a marketing strategy to go for the third party "Comment Section" World... imagine...
