I used to work as a teacher, I would work from 7:30am to 4:00pm and after work, I had to do some private tutorial and extra lessons to augment my low income. I had a lot of hopes and dreams but I was too busy to even think. It was slavery. I know I had to escape the nine to five e runt. I did. I don't ever want to have a conventional job.

I loved my work as a teacher. Impacting knowledge, the love of children. Whenever I dispelled the ignorance from some kid I would feel like Superman, whenever I inspired some kid to do better, I would feel like the Black Panther. Sometimes I had to be the Thanos(the bad guy) to make sure that the kids complete a task. I loved what I was doing. It was fun. I loved my job so much that at the point that I wanted to leave, I procrastinated until it became very obvious that it was time. I was earning way more than my salary and I couldn't focus on the job anymore.

I began to desire more freedom when I started reading books by Robert Kiyosaki. I learned how that the schooling system is just one big scam and the only bigger scam is the financial system. Even Donald Trump, the current US President admitted in one of his books that a lot of government programs are just glorified Ponzi schemes and the system favors the investors and rich guys and ensures that the poor are raised to a higher level of poverty. He may not have said those exact words and I may be interpreting things with my perspective but I'll advice you to read books. Read "why we want you to be rich". It was written by Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki. Please also read, "why A Students work for C students and B Students work for the government". This one is really awesome. It was written by Robert Kiyosaki.

You can read your way to freedom. Steemit is a place where you can also write your way to freedom. I did write my way to freedom. I'm free and I am still on my way to a greater level.

Sometimes I get scared. I feel I should go back to school or apply for a job but it's just because of the way I was raised. All my life I was taught that getting a secure job was the hallmark of achievements.

Freedom is the ability to do whatever you want as long as it doesn't inhibit the right of your fellow man. Cryptocurrencies like Steem has brought so much freedom to a lot of people. I searched for Steemit and freedom on Google and this is what I found: an article by @karlinart.

When @stellabelle was talking about Steemit on Facebook...
I thought she was crazy!
Later I decided to give it a "chance".
And joined.
When we got our first payout on July 4, 2016.
I remember almost falling to the floor in shock.
That's when Everyone on facebook thought I was crazy, Talking about Steemit nonstop.
@kaylinart

@kaylinart is just like many Steemians who came here and found the goldmine.

I also want to share this inspiring screenshot I got from @chrisani's facebook page. This picture is now going viral on the Whatsapp status of most of my friends.

This is the power of Cryptocurrency. This is is the power of decentralisation. We are in a very peculiar stage in history where corporations are going to be turned into communities and private companies can create their own monies. The governments and big sketchy banks will no longer have the monopoly to produce and distribute money. They have done a very terrible job of doing the aforementioned and excelled at enriching their pockets and scamming everyone else legally.

This post was supposed to be a gratitude post where I say thank you to God for my freedom but my fingers just like to type plenty things today. I'm grateful that I can wake up at own my time. That I don't have to answer to any slavemaster(or boss) and that I can dream of a better future for my self and my family. This is worth saying thank you for. I'm very far from where I want to be. I feel that I've not even started. My mind is rich with ideas and dreams now and I desire the skills and what not to accomplish my dreams. I'm grateful for where I am now. Thank you to everyone that contributed to my freedom one way or another. I know deep down that I desire more freedom and I'm willing to work for it. For freedom is never free.

Freedom comes with a price and that price is responsibility. Freedom can be lost. Life is a wheel in constant motion and you can't just afford to stand still, its either you are moving with the tides, moving ahead and faster than the tide or standing still and doing absolutely nothing. If you are standing still in a world that is moving, you are moving backward.

Thank God I'm Free

If you participated on day 27 of the gratitude challenge, I'm sending you the warmest virtual hug. I'll visit you soon. Thank you!
