RE: what is Super computer | How does it work? - Detailed explanation. | Super computing means super fast computing?

in #busy6 years ago

If you ever have wondered about what a supercomputer is, this post is an interesting read. Moreover, is it possible to create a supercomputer in the near future? Perhaps it is and scientists have been struggling for decades to achieve this goal. As a prove we have the present fastest computer called The Sunway TaihuLight, which is still considered a supercomputer.
However, in order to understand supercomputers, we should have a look and learn about computers in general and thus understand how they work. Another example of supercomputers is Cluster and Grid. The cluster is used by Google to provide search results for its users and Grid also called distributed computing. Most of the super-computers usually run on a Linux-based operating system. Moreover, supercomputers are useful as they can solve complex mathematical problems, solve scientific problems, test nuclear intelligence, weather forecasts, climate change etc. However, the present supercomputers are extremely costly. Nowadays we are waiting for Quantum computing which seems a promising one.
