@diangold: The Diary Game 01/09/21

Good evening Steemians, hope we all had a great day? I wish to share with you all how i spent my day. I woke up today at 4:55am, did my morning prayers after which i dashed straight to my laptop to read through a friend's article who wanted me to edit. I rounded up with that at 7:00am. I needed to clean the house which i did, after cleaning, i prepared breakfast which was a combination of bread, egg and tea. I kept it aside, went straight to bathroom to bath. After bathing, i hurriedly dressed up, ate and took my things to work. I arrived the office at 8:00am arranged some files and left for a radio program that i do on Wednesdays each week. The program is titled let's speak out where i sensitize the public on issues concerning Gender-based violence. Today's topic was on how to handle pregnancy in cases of rape. I talked on methods with which parents whose children(girl) has been a victim of rape and got pregnant in the process should go about the pregnancy. I talked about offering psychosocial support which can be offered by the parents as well as seek experts consent. I talked about societal ideologies that makes the victims of rape and their parents stay quiet to this evil act. I made our dear listeners understand that, the best way is to speak out about what has happened, seek legal aid and why not medical attention all through the pregnancy.
In addition, i emphasized on zero stigmatization of both the victims and their parents by neighbors, friends and families. Our society should learn to understand certain ills and feel the pain of each other. This way, evil acts like rape will be erased in our community.

After the radio program, i went back to the office where i worked till 5:00pm which is the normal closing time.
I had plans of going to the market which i did inorder to get food stuffs to come back home and cook. I got some tomatoes, beef, onion and sweet potatoes. I came back home and made a meal out of these items.

After cooking, i cleaned the kitchen and all the dishes i used in cooking then went on to have my evening bath. After taking my bath, i ate and decided to take a nap.
