Quick N Dirty Cannabutter

This is a quick technique to quickly and easily extract and decarb cannabis, thus making it effecient and effective cannabis infused edible with zero loss in product or material. This can be done and effective with a dose as small as a medium to large single bowl of cannabis.

This is a quick tip and trick I have used for many years when I had access to cannabis material, and wanted to consume a
cannabis edible without going through long process's of extracting, solvents, oils, and the long cooking and processing times it takes to create a quality THC edible, and lets be honest these things take time sometimes a long time. Just the process of making a canna butter can take up to 12 hours or more to properly extract the THC into an oil such as olive oil, cocconut oil, butter, and really any other oil. There are many many other substances one may use to extract or obtain THC or cannabis derivitives, but those go into the realm of "processing" and "actual extraction" and "tinctures" which all benificial and have their place and time for proper use.

With all this technical info available, different types of solvents, different types of oils, different extraction techniques and methods for many different uses and purposes. However we all have busy lives, and little time to make an extraction, or dont have the place to make a proper extract, or maybe you just want 1 single dose and dont want to make a large amount of canna butter or extract.
With all of this being said I will continue on with the simple process...

Materials list:

1. Cannabis material
   (this is regarding flower, but anything can be used following the same process one could use wax, kief, shatter, hash, trim just be sure to adjust dosage to butter ratio accordingly).
2. Microwave
3. Glass shot glass (or similar small glass container)
4. Metal spoon or stir device
5. Real butter for this technique
   (preferably unsalted, but any real butter will work) Note: Any oil may be substituted with similar results
6. Grinder (optional)

Method:

(Grind up cannabis to a fine consistency )

1. Put a usable amount of butter into the glass shot glass
   (about the amount you would put on a piece of toast per bowl of cannabis, it should be enough butter to cover the material).

2. Melt the butter in the microwave in short 11 second burst... Repeat until the butter is liquid.

3. Take your ground cannabis and add it to the melted butter. (Be sure to stir it up first before reheating)
   

4. Place back into the microwave and begin to start the microwave using the same start and stop method only doing 6 second burst it will only take about 3 of these 6 second burst to fully decarboxylate your cannabis flower and extract into the butter... this is an important step to "cook" or decarboxylate the cannabis a little longer to make it psychoactive and bioavailable stir well in between microwave cycles.

*Now we have a hot slurry mixture of cannabis and butter. You could filter the flower material out of the butter to get a more "refined" butter if you did not want to consume the flower. However I find that to not be worth ones time for such a small amount of cannabis. If I were making an actual extract or canna butter sure I would filter the oil to clarity, but for such a small single serving it's not worth it. Besides this is the quick and dirty recipe/technique.


To use this I usually put it on a piece of toast or a bagel and eat it, but I'm sure you all have an imagination as to what could be done with it.

I am all about obtaining the best possible quality in extractions and implement the same effort in quality and effeciency in all things I do. I'm actually very against most "half assed" methods, but this quick and dirty technique has served it's purpose many times for me and I'm sure that if givin a try It may be of help or use to someone else.
