Kurokush Strain Review

in #cannabis4 years ago

KuroKush is a collaboration between Spanish seed bank Nemeseeds and UK Sludge Metal Band Kurokuma. It combines the genetics of Bloodfire Lebanon with Black Venom and delivers strong body-led effects.

Appearance

This strain was developed with a Metal look in mind, and it features dark bud and leaves, which give it a distinct look due to the cultivars in the genetics.

With a fluffy earthy look, this strain has a slightly wild appearance resemblant of something like Trainwreck.

And the shades are more metallic/matte than vibrant on this strain.

Smell

The Kurokush smell is complex and captures dark fruit notes alongside a musky, earthy aroma that is pleasant in the nostrils.

Breaking the bud apart the terp profile gets even more complex, with fizzy and berry and apple notes coming through. It reminds me of the fruit notes of Mother of Berries, but it is not the same smell.

Taste

This strain is super smooth, and the bong delivers thick, cool smoke which expands in the lungs but doesn’t lead to me needing to cough.

The earthy and fruit notes come through alongside a muskiness that gives the Kurokush a unique taste.

The flavour gets deeper still when vaping this strain, and the dark fruity notes take the lead.

Also present in this strain is a slight fizziness which is more of a sensation than a taste.

Effects

This strain initially lands in the body, relaxing without affecting the mind too much. But after a while it really hit me, knocking me back as an intense wave of the high hit.

Mainly body led, but left me chipper, laughing and red-eyed with definite mind-altering effect as well.

This is a strong one.

Conclusion

I like how different Kurokush is from other strains I have been smoking. This one not only delivers a smooth smoking experience, but it also has a strong and unique high, which I think are two of the best features of this sample. The presentation wasn’t 10/10, but the different shades of colours were awesome, and the complex smell let me know I was in for something different.
