The Venus Project Aims To Save The World

 "The Choice is Ours" is the latest documentary by The Venus Project, an organization proposing a feasible cultural redesign of society working towards a peaceful and sustainable global civilization. It advocates for a redirection of human behavior in order to end war, poverty, hunger, debt, and the destruction of our environment before its too late. All nations have more in common than they want to admit, and the sooner we focus on our similar heritage instead of our differences, the better off humanity will be. No matter what origin story you decide to believe in, we can all agree that our lives on this planet are insignificant compared to the unfathomable size of the universe. So why do we get so caught up in earthly drama which only results in greater division.

Renowned designer and inventor Jacque Fresco spent his entire life pondering such questions. His alternative solution was The Venus Project, a realistic model of how a resource-based economy (the scientific method applied to social concern) would function in the modern day. Of course, like all ideas, it isn't perfect, but at the least The Venus Project provides alternative solutions for some of societies major issues today.
