Thankful for my car

in #car8 years ago

Today I am thankful for my car. It is not the best car but it is my car. I purchased it in 2009 during the cash for clunkers deal. It had 11 miles on it when I drove it off the lot. It was my first new car and use worked hard to pay it off. She has served me well. She still gets me to work everyday. She is starting to show signs of old age but I still love her. So many people in this world can't afford cards and others take them for granted. So although work sometimes sucks...my car gets me there to help pay the bills. Thank you car!

I still remember the days when I was wishing/hoping for the car that I have now.. so that always reminds me to be thankful! it's easy to get complacent and start wanting something else/newer but i'm still happy with mine :)

When traveling to third world countries that is what really struck me, among other issues, was that for millions of people, they will never be able to know such a luxury in life as owning their own car.

great post! thanks for inspiring thankfulness.

An attitude of gratitude :)

I used to drive an old 86 Ford Crown Victoria. I was the 3rd owner...it had 111,000 miles on it when I paid $1100 for it in 1997. When I parked it in 2009 with a blown head gasket it had over 1 million miles on it.

It funny to me that people get scared when a car hits 100,000. The motor is just getting broke in at that point.
