Received my first rewards for staking my ADA on the Shelley testnet. I suggest how to best choose the better for yousteemCreated with Sketch.

A few minutes ago I received my first rewards from my ADA stake delegation. It was bigger than expected and only appeared on my Yoroi Dashboard tab about two minutes after the previous epoch ended. So a few slots elapsed until rewards were distributed. No transaction is recorded on the blockchain, though. But that was expected.

In my previous post -like this one, I wrote it in English as this is in general interest, don't expect more posts written in a different language than Spanish in the future- I suggested stakers to check stake-pool's websites in order to avoid those which are not running. The testnet is not allowing to remove a stake-pool once it has been registered, so in some cases it is not their fault that they are still listed.

I didn't receive my rewards from that delegation, so I took a different road this time. As it worked to me, I am going to explain it to all of you so you avoid losing rewards, which will be converted into mainnet ADA once the Shelley testnet finishes, by the way.

You will need to browse to AdaPools. You will get a list of all registered pools. It takes a little bit to load, although page is quite fast to show data, it will be downloading more in the background.

In that page, you will see the name of the pool and lots of numbers. The first one you will need to focus on is the "Pool size". Now scroll down until you get to the first one with a number less than 1%. The ones which are greater will be rewarding stakers less.

Once you are in the right row, you need to choose the one with less fees. You can find that information on the latest two columns.

The last step is to check the stake server is running. Look at the Last epoch column. That amount should be the same as shown on your Daedalus or Yoroi wallet. Just to confirm it, as I suggest you, browse to the stake-pool's website, as they could be scheduling to stop their node.

Just take note of the stakepool address and their ticker. Look for them on your wallet and confirm it is the same address, as there are lots of pools with the same ticker. This is a testnet, so some of them are testing for different fee structures.

And that's all!!! I hope this post helps you choosing a good pool. Also, remember that changes on the delegation are taking two (2) epochs until you get your first rewards.
