A Blockchain of Olympic Proportions: Is Cardano/ADA Coin the Next Big Thing? (I think it's going to be huge.)
I just finished watching this in-depth explanation of the Cardano blockchain/ADA Coin
given by Charles Hoskinson, CEO of Input Output Hong Kong, and co-creator of Ethereum.
Cardano has been called the "Ethereum of Japan," and living here, and viewing this lecture, it isn't hard to see why.
Cardano is what Hoskinson calls a "3rd Gen Crypto"--one that focuses on important areas both Bitcoin and Ethereum fall short in. Namely, scalability and sustainability. Cardano aims to be a kind of trans-blockchain communication facilitator, which will allow different chains to communicate with one another, and also allow transactions to occur with the the old school banking model.
I cannot do this talk justice here with my limited understanding, so I will let you watch it for yourself.
ADA COIN ATMS ALREADY SHOWING UP IN TOKYO, TOO!
My wife has been telling me about ADA for a while now, but I hadn't paid too much attention. Now, I certainly think it is time to listen up. The Cardano folks have a wealth of information on their robust and detailed hub page, and the plan of attack is a long-term, well-thought-out and unique approach to crypto and blockchain technology. I am excited to see how this revolutionary blockchain, interface, and coin fare in the coming months and years.
As ADA is already being accepted at some stores here in Japan, and the Cardano team's game plan seems to focus on a full development status by 2020, I am wondering if this coin won't find a unique niché and application when the Olympics come to Tokyo that same year. At about 2 cents, still, it's not much of a gamble to scoop up a bit and find out!

i think you might be on something
I didn't watch the video but bought some last week thinking the same..
The fact it takes far less computation resources to create a block is huge
I'm not really feeling this coin man, "centralized" sort of like xrp and written in a very complex language. Plus the ico was first exclusive to Japan, then up in price to Korea, then the rest...I hope I'm wrong about the vibes I'm getting from this coin but this is how it is atm.
Is it centralized? If it is I must have missed that. I am pretty sure it is P2P, though I do have some reservations about other aspects. You should check the video though man. The idea is pretty revolutionary. The part I don't necessarily vibe with is trying to appease and work with the giants instead of just ignoring/subverting them in regard to the "legacy" financial institutions.
Well,it doesn't matter that much if you're amateur or not. Every single Analytics are important.
You mentioned this coin before and after checking it out a bit myself I think it looks very interesting at least.
Still wondering where you can buy it
Yeah, sorry I got lost in the shuffle and never answered you. It's kind of tricky to buy when Coinswitch isn't supporting it (they don't require any registration) but it should be available soon on many exchanges. I used Coinswitch the first time with no problems, but last night ADA wasn't supported by Coinswitch so I used Bittrex. Now I have a significant of ADA locked in Bittrex. I made an account and didn't know I couldn't withdraw with a basic account. When I tried to upgrade that failed, and now I am stuck in customer service limbo/purgatory unable to access my coins.
Check the hub page linked above to see where you can buy them and which exchanges currently support ADA.
Only time will tell. If SMTs are succesful and steem is able to scale with steemit as well as additional other apps. It will be hard for other tokens to say they are more affordable (free transactions) or scaleable (hundreds of thousands of posts, upvotes, etc) than steem.
Look into EOS.
helo james can you help me
i want to earn on steemit
I gave you some feedback yesterday, that you should consider to stop spamming the blockchain to avoid getting flagged. I also suggested that you read this article, which I still recommend: https://steemit.com/steemit/@miti/a-complete-guide-for-newcomers-and-minnows-to-avoid-a-possible-spam-and-to-write-good-comments
Good post:)
The programming language behind a coin will be the next hot issue
I think so, too.
