Managing Teams (Subordinates)

It is important for Seniors (Supervisors and Managers) to have a morning meeting with their teams. Five to ten minutes should be adequate to ask your team members questions about their previous day at work and at home. This shows that you care. It also gives you the opportunity to see and to address any personal issues which you are capable of addressing. It is easy to see when a team member is being troubled by an issue. This is where your skills at reading body language is called upon. People work better and give off their best when they know that their senior is a caring person. Emotional Intelligence is a critical skill for all senior staff.
Always show your team members that you care about them. Doing this will most certainly bring out the best in them.
