Previously, only limousines for the Chinese government and expensive passenger cars were produced under the Chinese brand Hongqi ("Red Banner"), but a few years ago the parent concern FAW began to develop the crossover segment. The E-HS3, HS5 and HS7 SUVs of different sizes have entered the local market one after another, and now the flagship model E-HS9 is ready. And this is an electric car!

The size of the Hongqi E-HS9 almost coincides with them: length — 5209 mm, width — 2010 mm, height — 1731 mm. The wheelbase is 3110 mm versus 3105 mm for BMW X7 and 3075 mm for Mercedes. The standard wheels are 22 inches in diameter, and the traditional Hongqi scallop on the hood is filled with LEDs.

Hongqi E-HS9 is offered in two all-wheel drive versions. The base has the same electric motors on the front and rear axles, which produce 218 hp and 350 Nm each (in total 436 hp and 700 Nm). But the first to be on sale will be the top version, which has an engine installed at the back with a recoil of 333 hp and 450 Nm. Peak — 551 hp and 800 Nm. Such a crossover can accelerate to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds.
