Some people knew it from a video game promoting a real driving simulator, and some when Paul Walker drove and "riced" it. Toyota itself was a brand that cannot be overlooked all around the world since its expansion worldwide. As the world of enthusiasts, tuners, and probably racers waiting for the "original heritage" of their icons to make a comeback.Toyota has make a very good decision based on what people say about the 86 — Bringing back the Supra, and they did.  Introducing the racing concept of the Gazoo Racing Supra — as what it is known for — sporting a wide body, a GT wing, Gazoo Racing's muffler, and of course the twin turbo inline 6. By all that, Toyota is doing their best to capture the heart of Supra lovers by remain the same as the predecessor by keeping the engine type and even the displacement. Nice move, Toyota.

Cooperating with BMW, there is an assumption that the future Supra will be powered by N54-like engine capable on producing power up to 330hp. Not only that, N54 has a characteristic a 2JZ-GTE have — strong internals. Example, you want 800hp but have no money for forged internals so you decided to increase the pressure or replace just the turbos... Boom easy, 800hp with less worry. It's so strong it needs some ultra long time before it's totally destroyed. Sharing the same platform, Toyota will produce the Supra while BMW is preparing for the next generation Z4. No words about the transmission yet, but there's a rumor about

automatic 8-speed capable on launching the car 0-60mph for 3.9 seconds(!!!) And also about the hybrid version also in mind for both manufacturers. This machine was revealed in 2018 Geneva Motor Show and rumors said that the Supra will run its initial production started in 2019. So hold that money and don't buy the 86 if you're tight. Save some more, you could own the Supra.

Well that was something, I remember that I was stating that I was never dig into those hybrid engine that brag about 'eco' and all that, yuck.. Also, be sure to check the regarding article, in here and here
