Downshift Circuit and Coffee #4: The 180sx is Easily the Best Looking S-Chassis!

in #cars7 years ago (edited)

The 180sx, which is the coupe variant of the S13, was the first JDM car that I wanted to buy. I nearly actually bought one a few years back for $3000 AUS, however it turned out to be an absolute bucket! Nonetheless, that does not mean there aren't any clean ones out there!

This 180sx drew the attention of just about every photographer at the car meet. The best part of it is just a stock type X with some well-kept paint and wheels! It just goes to show how well this car was put together from the factory.

The lazy eye mod on any car with pop-up lights I feel is an absolute must! It just adds that extra level of character that even non-car people can appreciate! I shot this photo as he was rolling onto the track, and as soon as he hit the straight it transformed into a rocket! The sound and the speed was incredible and unexpected from such a stealthy car!

What do you think of this car? In my opinion, especially with the older JDM cars, the subtlety is the key. Someone who appreciates that particular car will be able to see its beauty a mile away! What are your thoughts on the subtle style? I'd love to know!

These photos were taken by me, Jakob McDonald, on the 04/02/2017 at a circuit and Coffee meet held by Downshift Australia. Stay tuned for more cars every day!
