ECU tuning/chiptuning
Hi, my name is Jakub. I'm VAG enthusiast, interested in car mechanics and ECU modifications (aka chiptuning).
To start my blog I would like to share with you pictures from my latest work done on my own car, Audi A3 2009 2.0 TDI CR CBBB.
The job included following steps:
- open the ECU using heatgun
- full backup with bootloader mode
- update to latest software revision using VAS 5052
- disable EGR in ECU using hysteresis map
- blank EGR with plate
- close & seal the ECU
ECU programming with MPPS and Tricore Plugin

In future I want to make posts about my upcoming jobs, if you would like to get advice/support or want me to write about specific topic let me know in comments.
Very interesting, I wonder how much I have to spend on hardware and software tools to do anything useful. I guess your car warranty is void :-)
My car is too old for warranty crap, actually for genuine hardware with support you have to spend few K of euro.
Badass, what are you going for? Increased power?
Right now I'm into deep understanding how ECU works, digging a bit into ASM for better understanding what and why. :)
Increasing the power is not that hard, unless you know what you are doing. Increased power will come in short period of time.
