#37 One Day, One Car

in #cars7 years ago

Today another brand from Japan and one of the best sport cars with rotary engine.

The car? The Mazda RX-7

The first release of this model was in 1978 and after 1 million produced Mazda Rx-7 (also known as "Savanna" in Japan) the production came at its end in 2002.

The rotary engine small size made it the best power / weight balance fit in Rx-7 with nearly perfect 50:50 weight distribution.

Did you know?

Henry Ford believed in the future of rotary engines and went to Mazda to buy the engine construction know-how.
And guess what... They refused to share this knowledge.

Who would imagine that the company making corks would make great cars only 10 years later... From Toyo Cork Kogyo to Mazda...

Who wouldn't? It was an obvious move to make, makes total sense... lol

The Mazda RX-7

Insta wet... this car is awesome!! best budget/speed car, but from what i heard the engine brakes very easily...

great machines those rotary engine's
a lot of power and what a noise

too bad maintenance is expensive and it needs a lot of it

Finally Mazda!! I was a salesman of this brand but in my country it has little acknowledgement but the engine is really good!

I see you creepin' on customers coming to your car dealership just like that, made my day.

Very cool cars, but many of them had engine problems. A couple I drove were pouring out smoke with less than 20k miles.

Yes but at least it's one of the cheapest one to fix ahah

Er...no it's not. Break an apex seal and you'll be paying for it..

Mazda Rx is a sports car it is a Japan model this a sports car like a farrari or a BMW it is a 360 speed o clock

When Saab?

Saab the defunct will have a post in the future... stick around ;)

Henry Ford bought the engine construction know how of Mazda and still yet they refused to share their knowledge? savage!

Yeah, that's how you do business lol

Yeah, I know right! lol

He didn't really bought the know-how of engines construction... He invested in production lines in early seventies and as it could sound strange Ford sold some mazda produced cars under the brand Ford...

Oh I see... I should research more on this.

A bit hard to invest in something in the 70's when you pass away in 1947...The Ford Company did but Henry was long gone by that point.

Great @mandl i enjoy by this part 😍😍
I want to ask you, do you have a car haha
I have Bicycle 😂 and i like it 😍😍😍
