A gang of Russians came to buy my old car!!! Funny but dangerous ending.

Hello guys and welcome to Mattsbeamer.

This is the second part of the story, which was last on here.

Back when I was a 21 year old gent, I bought my pride and joy. It was a beautiful and very clean e38 BMW 740i from 1997, but the happiness didn’t last long when I found out that the garage who sold me the car, bodged up my windscreen, which was uneconomical to repair. The costs would have easily been around £10000.

I tried hanging onto my car, Incase the day came, where these computer units were easier to replace, but the bin men were moaning, that they may accidentally scratch my car if they drove past it.

So that’s when I tried to sell it.

I put it on eBay (which i will never do again) to sell it quickly. For some weird reason they had too cancel my ad, which means I lost the the bids, and I ended up selling it to this man.

The next day, I had 5 massive Russians come to my door, all big built and looked quite scary, but saying that, they were very friendly.

They looked at the car and were very happy as the prices of these back then (in Russia) were very crazy, and you had to be someone important to own one.

When they paid me the cash, one of them disappeared down the road to get a vehicle to pull the car.

I was expecting a big big lorry or something big, but I was very wrong.

This man turned up in a tiny bubble variant of the Rover 214. I couldn’t believe it!

They pushed the 7 series to the end of my road, and reversed the Rover up to the front of the BMW.

They used a towing dolly, to move the car.

When the Bmw was on, the front wheels of the Rover lifted of the ground. I was very concerned.

When they did that, all 5 of them got in the car and the rovers drive wheels touched the ground. It was so dodgy but very scary to see.

I thought I’d follow a little bit in my e36 320i to see if they were ok, and they were, they were just moving sooo slowly.

I checked the documents with the DVLA and it turns out they got it out of the country ok.

Little did I know, I’d move to Russia, 7 years later!

I was selling an 45 year old Morris minor they bloke took it for a test drive. After returning he complained the brakes don't work very well and it is so slow bla bla bla. I told him that is how they are from new and said I would not sell it to him he said why. I said you need to go down the road and buy a new car as that is what you need from the way you complain about this old car.

Lol. Yes unfortunately people forget that older cars have to be driven properly, with brain power, unlike these new cars which anyone can drive. :) I love the old Morris Minors. )

Have you guys got any interesting stories when it comes to selling your cars?
