How I made a good friend through YouTube, and became a Steemit blogger.

Hello guys and welcome to Mattsbeamer.

I am writing this story because, starting a Steeming account brought back many feelings and thoughts I had, when starting my YouTube channel.

I started my YouTube channel back at the start of 2015, which is a few years after moving to Russia. When moving to Russia, I had to adjust myself of a new way of life, trying to make new friends, learning a new language, a new culture, basically everything, and I am very proud of where I am at, at the moment. Thou I really need a kick in the behind to keep me going, and to get out of a rut. I shall come back to that later.

Anyway back to youtube, it’s far from being a easy thing to do, you have to ignore all the horrid comments, which can get you down. People forget that you invest a lot of time and effort making these videos, for people to watch for free. Gradually my channel grew slowly, but steadily.

One day, I had a person called Ben, who sent me a private post on my Instagram back in April 2018, back when I had just over 500 subscribers (now I am at 3000), I usually ignore these messages on Instagram, because it’s usually a spammer, but for some reason I replied. @planetauto

It turned out that this guy Ben was also a car YouTuber. His channel is called PLANET AUTO. Back then I had a few more subscribers than him, but suddenly his channel took off, due to his very hard work and dedication to his channel and full support from his wife. In fact his wonderful wife is now a bigger part of this channel. They are now at around 4100 subscribers plus.

So I mentioned before, that Planet Auto is a car youtube channel, but they do many different types of content to satisfy many types of car fans. The main focus of his channel is car reviews. Some of the cars that they have had on their channel are amazing, from cars such as the New Vauxhall Astra up to a new singing all dancing Rolls Royce. In my opinion that’s very cool for a new channel.

Other things this channel does are, Live reviews, car comparisons, viewers cars, heritage models, motor show and other car related events, new car launches, project cars and basically the list goes on.

So why am I talking about this topic, well we have become good friends, and we talk most days discussing life in general, and future plans so our channels can finally meet up. When that day comes it will be very cool, as he is back home, in my home country England.

Also since knowing Ben, and taking his advice, I became more confident, and realized where I needed to improve, to make things work, and it is working, plus becoming friends with Ben, has allowed me to meet another great youtuber called Joseph, and we all help each other with advice

It was also Ben that got me into Steemit. It really helps me to let me create content, when I am on the move, and unable to film and edit videos.

Have you made any friends through Youtube, or steemit that you can trust? Its very hard for me to trust, but I have finally done so, and I am right to trust these friends of mine. Take care :D

It's amazing where some friendships start out life, and then they become part of life, talking to that person every day or so, regardless of him living in Russia.
It was the best thing I could have done that day, relentless spamming for follow for follow, if I hadn't this would have likely not been the same, likely we would have met later sometime but under other circumstances. Thank you Matt , friend

Thank you also Ben, for all your advice, reassurance, listening and confidence boosting. You’re a top notch gent and a true friend!

I hope more and more YouTuber would also create blog on steem :)
