My Car Buying Experience at CarMaxsteemCreated with Sketch.

So we have been in the market for a new car for the past few months. We've been to multiple dealerships. Sadly, we were not satisfied with our experiences. The sales tactics, the "playing with numbers" game, and talking to sales managers left us feeling ill.

In all honesty and to be fair, I can say that we really didn't know what make, mode, or style of car we wanted. This past Saturday I told my wife that we should shoot up to CarMax, since they have a lot full of cars. We can sit in them and see if any of them help us make a decision.

There was no pressure. They left us alone for the most part, checking on us intermittently. My wife liked a vehicle with a third row. We talked about it for awhile and took it for a test drive. The one thing about CarMax is there is no haggling. We knew what the price was. He told us what our payment would be. We opted for an extended warranty, and we were outta there fairly quickly. The salesman was hardly a salesman. He was very knowledgeable about vehicles which was fantastic, but I never got hassled.

One thing I would recommend is getting financing through your bank or credit union beforehand. Their financing rates were pretty high. We knew this from a prior experience, so we were good to go.

We sold a car to them about two years back. Now we have purchased one. When we need a new car or need to sell one, we'll be back!!!
