Winter Wonderland & Castles in Southern Palatia

Last weekend it has been very cold in Germany, at least for German standards. Anyways, minus 15 degrees at night time (don’t know how much it is in Farenheit) is cold.

But as we had a clear sky and a lot of sun, i‘ve decided to take my little godson for an excursion outside. We went to the little village of Nothweiler to walk the four castles round trip, which also takes you to France.

The way up has been on the north side of a mountain, so we had to walk through deep snow. Once arrived at the top, we reached the south side, and the strong sun has warmed up our bodies again.

The view is amazing. With clear sky you can even see the Munster of Strasbourg, which is around 60 KM away.
