The Beginning Of Fall

Rain, strong wind, and cooler temperature for the last few days have taken its toll on some of the trees in my neighborhood. Leaves are flying and turning colors. It is fall, officially and time to bring out sweaters.

This maple tree is the first to show beautiful red color since it has no shelter from other tree! It stands alone in direct sun light, and the path of changing weather. It is still small compared to other trees, so it now has many barren branches.
