Awww, I love him too - and can't believe his age! He’s been around for the last 17 years, and even though I’ve only known him for the last 3 years, he’s allowed me to connect with him - I love the old ones who come around in their mellow years and "allow" a human to love them. :)
Oh that's so lovely of you, thank you! Yes it definitely is one of the finer things in life...I seem to have a bit of luck when it comes to bonding with the elderly animals, I rescued a 13 year old German Shepherd a couple years ago and the 1 year I had with her was such an amazing experience for us both. F**k I miss her...
Awwww. You gave that old German Shepherd the best year of her life, I'm sure--so sad that it was her LAST year and only year with you!
I do love the old ones. In one of the Henri le Chat Noir videos, he pays homage to the Old One, but most of the time he makes snide remarks about "The White Idiot," a young white cat.
If you haven't seen Henri, you must!! The story of how "the thieving filmmaker" went viral, quit his day job, made Henri his career, is just phenomenal. Part 2 remains my favorite:

That's in Henri 5, "The Worst Noël, and hell no I'm not gonna tell how many cat videos I have watched.... after volunteering at Iowa Cold Cases and reading murder after unsolved murder, injustice and indignity ad infinitum, it's Cat Videos as the drug of choice. (No hangover! All perfectly legal!)
So now you know: I'm not kidding when I tell you any little thing Max does is worthy of a Steemit post!
